Release Notes
Release 2.0
This is a major release, including various bugfixes, performance enhancements and loads of new features, including the ability to customize the return & switch-animations with easing & duration, the ability to customize the DropBorderBrush, a DropMode-property defining what should happen when you drop a DragSource, an AllowAnyDropTarget-property (so you don't have to manually add a list of valid DropTargets for each DragSource), a DragHandleMode-property, and many more.
Version 2.0 comes in 2 flavours: binaries for SL2 and binaries for SL3, including an updated sample application in the SL3 version. If possible, I'd advise you to use SL3 (it allows for easing animations with the Drag and Drop manager), but if you've still got a project in SL2 that's been using a previous release of this software, and you can't upgrade to SL3, you can safely upgrade the Drag and Drop Manager to v2.0.

Reviews for this release
We ran into some memory issues with DropTargets. Silverlight user controls added to a drop target do not seem to get GCed after removing the user control from the drop target collection. Do you have any recommendations as to what can be done to solve this issue. We are using the MVVM pattern.

There are several issues when I try to get the component running: NullReferenceExceptions (when you do not set the DropTargets property, because it has no proper defaults set...), InvalidCastExceptions (because the component is trying to select parent elements as Panels...). It is a start of a nice component, however.

it looks like a very useful tool but even with the source code/demo it's confusing to get started. Not very intuitive to figure out. The documentation doesn't really help with that either. It would be nice if there were some instructions on how to get started.
